Hello Lumberjacks!
I am very excited to write this letter to let you all know about an amazing project that will be happening during the week of November 14-18th, brought to you by the Residence Life Diversity Committee, ASWI (Associated Students for Women’s Issues), and Reciprocity Photography. We are calling it the “I Am NAU Project”. We are asking students, staff and faculty to come and get their pictures taken, then write a little paragraph detailing who they are, to help us show the diversity around our amazing campus.
The dates and locations are as follows:
Monday, November 14th, 11am-1pm, University Union (right outside of the Hot Spot)
Wednesday, November 16th, 11am-1pm, DuBois Center (Across from the info desk)
Friday, November 18th, 11am-1pm, Photography studio in the School of Communication
After the pictures are taken, we will put them on poster boards that will be traveling around campus to help promote the diversity we already have on campus, but also to increase the awareness of it as well. The posters will travel from hall to hall, as well as other common areas around campus, during the week of November 28th-December 1st. On the evening of December 1st, we will get all of the poster boards together in the Kaibab room (in the Field House) from 6-8pm to show all of the pictures in one location, and to celebrate our diverse backgrounds and pictures.
We look forward to seeing all of you for this project!
