Santa hates me for being so poor
I know for a fact he gives rich kids more
All the things on their lists he manages to get
But he’s never brought me one thing on mine yet
.
He does bring me gifts, it’s not like he forgets
But he ignores my choices because we have debts
If I want something dear he seems to have an aversion
to bringing me it - I get a cheaper version
.
Santa hates me for me for being so poor
It’s true, He must do, take a look at the floor
See the gifts round the tree, there’s not many for me
And the few that there are, are quite light and spongy
.
That means I’m getting clothes when I specified toys
And I ate all my dinner and I made much less noise
and I did what was asked and I always said please
I’ve been good all year just so I could appease…
.
…Santa’s obvious reasons for hating my ass
He gives lots more gifts to other kids in my class
And the way they behave - well, it’s so rude it’s shocking
Yet they wake up on Christmas to a bulging stocking
.
I can write better than they and I can run just as fast
And in the tests that we do, every one I have passed
So the only thing that sets them apart from me
Is they live in families that aren’t in poverty
.
So that must be the reason Santa is stand-offish
And not bothered about answering my Christmas wish
I don’t know what I’ve done to make him so sore
I guess he must hate me for just being poor
